WOL3D and 3D Printing help India fight COVID-19

Advancement in technology & innovation has to be for the benefit of mankind. 3D Printing technology is ample proof of this statement and how useful 3D Printing during Corona Virus .

As our country goes through various progressive stages of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, we at WOL-3D are using 3D Printing to strengthen the Govt.’s efforts in this combat. With a sharp decline in the availability of much-needed protective gear for medical teams across the country, we put all our 10 offices in action to 3D print Face shields and the mask strap adjuster.

By 3D printing these products, we have completely bypassed the vices of traditional large scale manufacturing like high labor, and manpower requirement, massive investments in acquiring and upkeeping of heavy machinery, etc. With 3D Printing, we are able to make them just-in-time with near-zero stock keeping, minimal labor requirement, and low wastage.

We are truly glad that our efforts have been acknowledged by various hospitals across India, even though ours is a small role compared to the humongous challenges being tackled on a daily basis by the hospitals & medical teams. 3D Printed Ventilator Valves

We have also 3D printed ventilator valves for hospitals. In times of crisis, when there is a shortage of ventilators, Ventilator Valves can be used to enable the usage of one ventilator for multiple patients, thereby increasing usage efficiency per ventilator. This has been done by our offices in South India and in the coming days, we shall be 3D printing the valves for other hospitals across India.

Doctors and their supporting medical teams across all hospitals in India are working tremendously hard to fight this pandemic.
